An Intimate E-Roka Ceremony Of Two High School Sweethearts

Originally Published on ShaadiWish

The pandemic might have hampered a lot of plans and weddings for many. But it also has driven people to think outside the box and come up with creative ways to combat the distance. Just like Subhav and Kriti did to make their e-Roka ceremony happen. Kriti and Subhav have known each other for 12 years. And have been making their long-distance relationship work for over four years. And just when Subhav was supposed to move to the US to finally be with Kriti, COVID-19 happened.

But, as they say, love finds a way. Both of their families met each other and 11 days later both decided to make things official. So, with Subhav stuck in India and Kriti in the US, they decided to get Rokafied over the video call. The E-Roka ceremony was planned by Subhav’s mother and it took place at their home in Gurgaon.

Check Out Their Intimate E-Roka Ceremony Setup And Pictures:

1. Beautiful Intimate Decor

For the subtle and intimate decor, Subhav chose Pitara Events and they delivered beautifully. The gorgeous minimal decor captured the essence of their intimate E-Roka ceremony. We loved the pastel floral decor elements.

2. E-Roka Ceremony

The ceremony took place over video call which was a great way to practice social distancing while celebrating the occasion with close friends and family. Kriti was accompanied by her friends in the US who helped her set up her place and celebrate the occasion with her. It was truly surreal and we loved how simple yet beautifully the ceremony was performed.

3. Family Celebration

Even though the soon-to-be-married couple couldn’t be together to celebrate their Roka ceremony together, their friends and family made sure to make them happiest. We love the photo booth that had their wedding hashtag imprinted over it.
